Marie Klieber
Growing up in the Midwest, Marie’s earliest years focused on the changing of seasons and the colors associated with nature’s splendid beauty. Artistic endeavors were a family tradition from both an amateur and a professional perspectives. After graduating from college, Marie took the plunge, packed her bags, and headed to southern California to fully explore the natural beauty of the mountains and the sea and how they changed her artistic perspective. Many years later, that inquisitive nature still is the guide to all her pieces. The climate also helps since many of her creations are done both inside her studio and outside under her favorite oak tree.
Experimenting through the years with different mediums became a passionate hobby. Combining those mediums on wood or steel panels or canvas became a successful profession. Add that to a love of travel, and a beautiful career was launched.
These days, Marie is usually found working in her home studio or on a plane bound for one of the many art fairs where she exhibits worldwide. Her professional travel has taken her to almost 40 countries. Along the way, she has discovered many new mediums and practices. Some have found their way into one or many of her pieces. The world is an amazing place, full of new ideas and opportunities just waiting to be discovered! Collections of her work can be found in galleries across the United States, Asia, and the UK.
