A contemporary American painter and printmaker, Lawrence Murray Heyman received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Tyler School of Fine Arts at Temple University. In 1960 he went to Paris to study printmaking techniques at Atelier 17. Lawrence Heyman exhibited his prints and paintings in Paris for the following five years.
When Lawrence Murray Heyman returned to the United States he settled in New York City and specialized in scenes of Manhattan and its surroundings. The artist later moved to Providence, Rhode Island. Today the art of Lawrence Heyman is included in such collections as the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Museum of the City of New York.
